Part of your final project will include a teaching, learning, and technology (TLT) statement. You will refine this over the course, but this assignment will help you develop a first draft.

Your statement should be 2-4 sentences maximum and explain your own beliefs about teaching, learning, and technology.

Follow these steps carefully, filling out the template (don’t delete anything!).

1. Reflect on the questions below and write a first draft of your TLT statement. Save this draft!
   • What is learning? How do we know when we have “learned”?
   • How does learning happen? What are the conditions that must be in place to learn?
   • What are the ways you learn in your daily life?
   • What are differences between learning, teaching, and education?
   • What is the teacher’s role in learning?
   • What is technology?
   • How does technology impact society?
   • What role does technology play in learning?
   • What role does technology play in teaching?
2. Refine your statement by interacting with this Custom GPT.
3. Write a new statement and ask the GPT to give you feedback on it.
4. Copy in a link to your conversation with the GPT.
5. Write a brief reflection on your experience. Consider:
   • When you used the GPT, were your ideas more or less original and personal?
   • Did the GPT do work for you or did it help you with your own thoughts?
   • What did the GPT do wrong or get wrong?
   • Do you think this type of tool helps or hurts learning?
